Prince Kaybee has doubled down on his criticism of Springbok Andre Esterhuizen, who captained the squad against the Wallabies on Sunday, 27 September. This comes after the rugby player trended on social media relating to a 2012 incident in which he was suspended for saying the K-word.

The Boks lost 48-32 to Australia at the Optus Stadium in Perth.

PRINCE KAYBEE CRITICISES ANDRE ESTERHUIZEN

On his X account, Prince Kaybee joined scores of South Africans who criticised Andre Esterhuizen over his performance against the Wallabies.

The 32-year-old was named the 68th Springbok captain, temporarily replacing Siya Kolisi, who coach Rassie Erasmus is resting.

The music DJ, who is an avid rugby fan, responded to a tweet which labelled Andre a “racist” over his K-word incident 14 years ago.

Earlier this week, Prince Kaybee, like Anele Mdoda, reacted to news of Andre Esterhuizen’s racial slur back in 2012 during a Klerksdorp High School rugby match.

SUPPORTING THE ALL BLACKS

Prince Kaybee has made it clear that he supports the All Blacks over the Springboks.

The DJ and producer has often posted about his decision to support the Kiwi club over South Africa’s Springboks.

He shared back in July: “To support the All Blacks is not just some fascination with trends. It is a respect, an honour. New Zealand stood in solidarity with BLACK PEOPLE when the white South African rugby team did not want people who look like Siya Kholisi to participate in the sport.

He continued: “To support New Zealand as a South African is beyond sport. It’s beyond lifting the World Cup. It’s more a shared struggle of humanity, they didn’t have to do that, but they did. All Blacks forever”

Responding to one critic who claimed that AB supporters should relinquish their support, Prince Kaybee responded: “It’s no longer democracy if people cannot practice freedom of expression. It’s also a complicated issue, a black captain isn’t going to miraculously solve everything”.
