We have two new titles on the bestseller lists this week, both from beloved authors. One is The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook by Matt Dinniman, the third book in the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. It came out in 2024, so I couldn’t tell you why it’s hitting the list now, except that the first book in the series has been a bestseller for a long time, so readers must be continuing on! The other title making its debut on this list is The Unknown by Riley Sager, which is a new horror book from the author of The Only One Left and many other fan favorite thrillers.
This list continues to lack diversity on many levels, including being disproportionately by white authors. Some Indie Bestsellers and Independent Press bestsellers you should know about are Etna by Paul Yoon, Kin by Tayari Jones, and Triage by Claudia Rankine.
To get these numbers, we look at The New York Times, both Combined Print & E-Book Fiction and Combined Print & E-Book Nonfiction lists; Amazon Charts, both Fiction and Nonfiction; Publishers Weekly; USA Today; and Indie Bestsellers, Fiction and Nonfiction, both Paperback and Hardcover.
