Following news earlier this month of an unofficial GTA 5 Android port in the works, parent company Take-Two Interactive has stepped in with a cease-and-desist to shut down developer Paralympics Productions just as the mobile release was nearing fruition.
According to project lead Mojso on X (spotted via VideoCardz), the development group will officially shut down operations on October 3, 2026. In a farewell message to the community, the developer acknowledged receiving a cease-and-desist letter, stating they were “thankful for take two’s mercy” and confirming that this marks the definitive end of both the Android port and an earlier native Nintendo Switch build.
