South-Carolina-based horse-riding enthusiast Nathan Weeda built this rocking horse for his daughter:

It went viral on social media. Weeda was subsequently so inundated with requests for plans—which he has no time for—that he subsequently released this walkaround video:

However, the requests didn't subside, with demands for dimensions coming in. Weeda then released this video, with the caption "Y'all better have a quick pause finger!"

Now that we all have cameras in our pockets, this has indeed become a common way to share dimensions, and not just on social media. In my work with contractors, on jobsites I find myself often doing the following, and/or being sent images like these from tradespeople and even clients.

I find it's often a lot faster than sketching and dimensioning on paper.
