A new sculpture, commissioned by a luxury hotel, adorns the heart of Madrid and has not gone unnoticed. It is a stylized bronze horse that, defying gravity, seems to hang in mid-air, supported by only one hoof from a very high pedestal that never appears to be supporting the equine. This monument reaches a total height of 6 meters (19.68 feet).

"The Rumor of Discord" is an appropriate name for this artwork, as it is already generating debate among Madrid residents. Some question its artistic value, while others think that, being located in a busy area with vehicles and pedestrians, this installation could "pose some danger."

Given the sculpture's name, it is clear that this controversy was intentional. Its creator, the Mexican artist Gonzalo Lebrija, who often works with balance and weightlessness, has stated that, with this impossible equilibrium, he sought to generate debate and "represent fragility and uncertainty simultaneously. There is no doubt that this new sculpture, "the floating horse," as it has quickly been dubbed by Madrid residents, will be embraced as a new icon of the Madrid landscape.
