President Bola Tinubu has extended heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Saudi Arabia following a series of deadly attacks carried out by the Houthi militia from Yemen.

The message was delivered through the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, during a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Yousef bin Mohammed Al-Balawi, earlier in the week.

In his letter, President Tinubu strongly condemned the assaults, which claimed lives and damaged critical infrastructure, and expressed solidarity with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi government, and its citizens.

Ambassador Enikanolaiye emphasized Nigeria’s belief that “there is no alternative to peace,” urging all parties in the region to renounce violence.

An appreciative Ambassador Al-Balawi thanked President Tinubu for his words of support and Nigeria’s principled stance against terrorism, reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s commitment to regional and global peace and security.

The statement was later confirmed by Richard Elesho, Special Adviser on Media and Strategic Communications to the Minister, in a release to journalists on Saturday.
