Toronto Police are looking for a vehicle that may have been involved in a fatal collision on Saturday.

At about 4:35 a.m., police responded to a call for a collision in the University Heights area of the city.

Police said that a black Audi SUV was travelling eastbound on Finch Ave. W. through an intersection at a high rate of speed. The driver of the Audi lost control, hit a concrete traffic pole and despite life-saving measures the driver and passenger were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Police believe the Audi was racing a second black SUV before the collision occurred. Investigators are seeking to identify the driver of the second vehicle that was in the area at the time of the crash.

The vehicle may have sustained damage to its right passenger side after being struck by debris from the collision.

Suspect nabbed after woman found dead in Burlington

A Niagara Region man was arrested in connection with the death of a Burlington woman.

At about 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Halton Regional Police officers attended an apartment in the Guelph Line-Glencrest Rd. area to check on the well-being of a female occupant. When officers arrived, the female was found deceased inside the residence.

Police said that a man in his 40s had fled from the residence before officers arrived.

The investigation determined that a suspect had fled to the Niagara Falls area. Niagara Regional Police were contacted and the suspect was located and arrested.

Police alleged that the suspect and the deceased were known to each other. Police believe there are no outstanding suspects in this case.

They did not release the name of the suspect or the victim, but said charges are pending.

Teen randomly stabbed in Hamilton

A 37-year-old Hamilton man was arrested in connection with a Wednesday evening stabbing.

At about 5:30 p.m., officers were called to the Main St. W.-Frid St. area in Hamilton’s west end for a reported stabbing.

A 16-year-old male victim called 911 and reported that he had been randomly attacked by an unknown male and believed he had suffered a stab wound. He was transported to a hospital, where his injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.

Roads in the area were closed to assist with a search for the suspect, who was located nearby and arrested without incident. Members of the K9 unit searched the area and found a weapon believed to have been used in the attack.

Hamilton Police did not release the suspect’s name.

Two teens charged in e-bike theft; loaded gun found

Two male youths are facing several charges after an e-bike was allegedly stolen in North York on Tuesday.

Toronto Police said the theft was reported in the Jane St.-Wilson Ave. area, where the victim agreed to meet one of the accused in a public location to sell an e-bike.

When the accused asked to test the vehicle, he allegedly rode away and fled from the area.

After the victim reported the theft, police said officers located the teen and found a second suspect nearby.

Police said the two were arrested with officers recovering the e-bike and finding a loaded firearm.

Police said officers executed a search warrant the next day at a home in the same area of the alleged theft and found a firearm magazine and “other firearm paraphernalia.”

Police said two male youths, aged 16 and 17, have each been charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

The 17-year-old also faces several firearms charges.
