US President Donald Trump has reportedly rejected an Iranian plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday. Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi presented the proposal to Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff on the sidelines of a UN gathering in New York. The plan stipulated that the important waterway would reopen seven days after an agreement was reached.
