The University of Cincinnati Bearcats men's basketball team has added a transfer from Bowling Green for the upcoming season.
Javontae Campbell, a 6-foot-2, 155-pound guard, played two seasons of junior college ball at Northern Oklahoma before joining the Falcons for the past two seasons in the Mid-American Conference.

Campbell averaged 18.7 points per game this past season for Bowling Green, with 4.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game. In two seasons with the Falcons, he averaged 16.8 points per game with 4.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists per contest. He shot 31.8% from the 3-point line in 2025-26.
At Bowling Green last season, Campbell had 24 points against the Miami RedHawks on Feb. 20, 30 in a loss to Buffalo Jan. 27 and exploded for 47 vs. Massachusetts last Dec. 30 in a 101-100 overtime victory.
Campbell started 63 of 64 games at Bowling Green and 50 of 51 at Northern Oklahoma, where he was an honorable mention Junior College All-American.
Campbell falls in the recent "5-for-5" category with the recent NCAA ruling allowing athletes five seasons of eligibility in five years.
