The gaming community is in a frenzy over the new The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition Nintendo Switch 2 that was announced earlier this week. It's not even out yet and it's sold out almost everywhere (although Walmart still has it). It's priced at $519 and doesn't include a game, so although it truly is awesome, it technically isn't a "deal" either. If you want a Switch at a good price and you don't care about the Zelda edition, here's an actual deal that's worth considering.
Walmart is offering a Nintendo Switch 2 console bundled with an official Switch 2 Pro controller for just $539.00. This appears to be a bundle that was priced before the Switch 2 price hike but for some reason hasn't been adjusted yet. As a reminder, the Switch 2 went up to $499.99 earlier this month. This deal will last very long so get it while you can.
Nintendo Switch 2 Console + Switch 2 Pro Controller for $538There are plenty of reasons to upgrade to the Switch 2 from the OG Switch
Several major Switch 2 video games have been released: Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, Pokemon Legends: Z-A, Kirby Air Riders, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, Pokemon Pokopia, and much more. The next major titles are Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, which releases on September 17 and Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which releases on November 5.
Triple-A ports have also made their way to the Switch 2 console, including Cyberpunk 2077 and Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, making the Switch 2 a veritable competitor to pricier handheld gaming PCs. The Switch 2 hardware is powerful enough to run these games at a very playable clip, a feat that's impossible on the original Switch's hardware.
