I'm around 1000-1100. I think I have a solid understanding of how to defend and attack most things, but I tend to play the Spanish and castle quite early. Occasionally, somebody pins my knight to my queen, and just pushes their pawn to attack it. I'm sort of lost on what to do. It seems that basically no matter what I do, my entire kingside is a mess, even if I end up having more material, and I always get mated with a rook and queen. I don't really understand how to counter this because I don't see it often enough to have developed a counter, but just often enough that it's obnoxious.
