Getting your finances destroyed by innocence can be stopped.

I know it may seem hard to manage your finances, especially at first. When you get older and decide to live on your own and manage your own expenses, you will soon realize that it's not as easy as it seems. Being an adult is never just fun and games, is mortages, food expenses, budgeting, investing, basically always being stressed about money. Money is the key to life, unfortunately. People love to say that money isn't the most important thing, but it is; it really is. If you don't have it, then you have a bunch of problems, such as not being able to take care of your own expenses. Without money, you can't even afford food; imagine a house. If you have a lot but don't know how to budget or manage your expenses, then the relief is momentary, as you will start to lose more and more till you are at zero again. So the most important thing about money isn't necessarily having it; it is more important to know how to manage it.

That's why I always insist that financial education is one of the most important things to have. If you know how to produce and manage money, then you will be able to do greater things in life than someone who just receives money and it's just watching it burn till there's nothing left. There is another aspect that people don't talk about enough when mentioning finances and how to manage them, and that is the "silly purchases". These are the ones that you do quite frequently, such as inexpensive things like a coffee every day or lunch outside the office. They seem pretty unimportant, but if you add them up, you realize that you are actually spending A LOT on them. It has become so important that people are always making others aware of how much they spend on these things. You think that it's just a coffee, but it's much more than that. That's why we need to be aware of our spending habits to avoid ending up burning through our savings just because we are too tired to prepare dinner at home instead of ordering delivery.
