I have a casual side gig that pays me approximately $400 a month in crypto. I know almost nothing about cryptocurrency and have no interest in following the news, actively trading, timing the market, or gambling on random coins that might suddenly explode.

This is essentially extra “beer money,” so I’m comfortable taking some risk and leaving it untouched for several years. I’m mainly looking for the simplest, lowest-maintenance approach. Would you just put the entire payment into Bitcoin every month and let it sit? Would it make more sense to split it between Bitcoin and Ethereum, immediately convert it to cash and invest it elsewhere, or follow another basic strategy?

I’d appreciate straightforward advice for someone who wants to set something up once and largely forget about it.
