Came across this study that looked at 52k matches with closing odds across 22 European leagues.

Main findings that stood out:

  • Serie B is the hardest (favourites win only 44.8%)
  • Ligue 2 close behind
  • Primeira Liga most predictable (56.3%)
  • Division level matters more than the country

Methodology seems solid; closing odds, decent sample size. curious what people here think.

I personally thought EPL was the harderst on, but data says otherwise. Does this match what you’ve observed watching these leagues?
