Goku VS refers to a longstanding internet tradition of pitting Son Goku, the protagonist of the Dragon Ball franchise, against other fictional characters in hypothetical battles. The matchups range from serious discussions about characters' abilities to deliberately absurd scenarios involving opponents who have little in common with Goku, including abstract concepts and the internet itself.
While some fans approach these matchups through detailed comparisons of characters' abilities, others use them to parody power-scaling discussions and the tendency to bring Goku into virtually any debate about fictional combat.
