Everyone knows that all cats, in their hearts, are just itty bitty kitties.

Look, we have been cat people on the internet for a long time. Even before starting to write about cats for a living, all of us writers were into cats and cat memes and cute pictures of cats. Back then, it was just a hobby. Now, six years later, I'm a purrfessional. I know my way around cats. And I also know that I might have lost my mind ever so slightly throughout the past six years. Because my confidence when it comes to cats applies… to all cats. This is my confession. Don't tell my loved ones. I, deep in my heart, truly believe that - if given the chance - I could become best friends with a big cat.

Of course, I haven't lost my mind entirely. I understand the risks, I do. And I haven't tried to befriend one.. yet. But I also know this fact: all big cats are just like house cats. It's enough to watch one video about big cats or spend just a few minutes looking at big cats in zoos, and anyone would see it. Big cats stretch like house cats. They roll around onto their backs and show their bellies like house cats.  They clean themselves, they scratch their ears, they sneeze - all just like house cats. And you know what? The reason I might try to befriend them is not even all of that. It's the fact that big cats are goofy like house cats too. Big cats blep, big cats fall and act embarrassed, big cats get zoomies, and, of course, why we are all gathered here today: big cats love boxes. That is not just a house cat thing. Scroll down. All the pictures you need as proof are right here, and they are way cuter than you could ever imagine they are.
