Eight teams, namely hosts UAE, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong China, Thailand and Indonesia will lock horns in the competition which will be played in the T20I format.

The teams are divided into two groups of four teams each. Each team will play the three others in that respective group, and the top two teams from both the groups will advance to the semi-final, with the final scheduled on September 13. All the fixtures are scheduled to be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. 

The defending champions, Sri Lanka, will begin their campaign against hosts UAE on August 29 in Dubai. On the other hand, India, who have been the most successful team in the tournament with seven titles till date, will open their campaign with fixtures against Thailand and Hong Kong on August 30, before the anticipated clash against Pakistan on September 5.
