Patrick Schwarzenegger is cheering on his Gen V co-star for landing a major X-Men role. The actor took to social media to congratulate him.

Following reports that actor Asa Germann has been cast as Warren Worthington III, aka Angel, in Marvel Studios’ untitled X-Men reboot, Schwarzenegger took to social media on September 10, 2026, to give his former co-star a big shoutout.

“Love this ! Little brother doing big things,” Schwarzenegger penned, reposting a report of Germann’s X-Men casting. Meanwhile, fans have expressed hope to see The White Lotus star join the MCU in the future as well.

Patrick Schwarzenegger isn’t the only Gen V star making major franchise moves

Patrick Schwarzenegger played Luke Riordan, or Golden Boy, in The Boys spin-off Gen V. Meanwhile, Asa Germann played his on-screen younger brother Samuel “Sam” Riordan. Germann is now set to make his debut in another major franchise.

According to a recent report by The Hollywood Reporter, Germann will play Warren Worthington III, aka Angel, in Marvel Studios’ upcoming X-Men reboot. The character was previously portrayed on screen by Ben Foster in X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) and Ben Hardy in X-Men: Apocalypse (2016).

Germann’s previous credits include Scream 7, The Boys, and Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.

Created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, Warren is a founding member of the X-Men in Marvel Comics. He originally had large white feathers extending from his back. Angel later transitioned to a darker Archangel persona with metallic wings and new powers.

Marvel has previously announced its main X-Men cast, who will join Sadie Sink as Jean Grey. They include Kit Connor as Scott Summers, Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles Xavier, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, and Maya Boyd as Storm. Additionally, Adam Driver will play the villain Nathaniel Milbury, or Mister Sinister.

Marvel Studios’ untitled X-Men reboot is scheduled to hit theaters on May 5, 2028.
