From next week, Walmart customers in the United States will be able to use the tap-to-pay feature with Google Pay for the first time. The retail company announced it is adding the contactless payment system to its checkout areas, marking a major step in its long-term collaboration with Google. The rollout will begin at several locations, with an ambitious plan to offer tap-to-pay at every Walmart and Sam’s Club store nationwide by the end of 2026. Expansion will continue into 2027, with the aim of introducing this payment technology at fuel stations by mid-year.
