Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man creator Jeff Trammell has provided a positive update on the status of the show’s upcoming seasons. As fans await its second season, Trammell has promised that the Marvel show will have a promising future with more Spider-Man adventures. Originally conceived as part of the MCU, the show eventually took a different direction, allowing it to explore more original stories.
Speaking with Collider, Trammell revealed that work on the show’s third and fourth seasons is already underway. Trammell told the outlet, “I don’t know what I can say, and no one’s stopping me, so I’m gonna say we’re already working on Seasons 3 and 4 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.”
What’s next for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man in season 2?The upcoming second season will deal with one of Peter Parker’s more iconic storylines: the Symbiote. As teased previously, season 2 will introduce Josh Keaton’s Eddie Brock, aka Venom.
Season 2 will also introduce new people in Peter’s life, including Gwen Stacy, the Lizard, and the Rhino. A preview at D23 teased the transformation of the classic Spider-Man suit into a comic-accurate black suit as the symbiote takes over it.
The upcoming season will also have to contend with the reveal of Peter’s father, Richard Parker, being alive. The upcoming season is also tasked with answering many lingering questions from the previous season, including ones about Norman Osborn’s new company.
Hudson Thames will reprise his role as Spider-Man, with many of the original cast also returning. This includes Colman Domingo as Norman Osborn and Charlie Cox as Daredevil. Fans who love the show’s rendition of the wall-crawler’s costume can also check out a new action figure from Hono Studios.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 premieres on Disney+ on January 13, 2027, with Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum previously confirming plans to release subsequent seasons on an annual schedule.
