I wish I could get updates on all the random kittens I see on the internet and on the street every day.

I want to hear about everybody's kittens. I'm always interested in your kitten, okay? Like, what kind of character did that tiny face grow into? Do they steal your socks now? What spots in the house do they choose as their favorites? Have they developed a weird habit that would take you five minutes to explain?

When cats grow up, their personalities and habits can be so weird that they do the most unimaginable things. My friend's orange cat, Fred, loves playing fetch. Yes. You throw the ball and the cat brings it back. Why does he do it? We have no idea, but I bet the dogs trained him back when he lived on the street. I love those particular stories that make every cat unique and give the family a funny story to tell. I live for them. Since I don't have any pets at the moment, I'm all ears for stories about yours.

Anyways, this Wednesday's delivery is a good opportunity to spend some time looking at tiny cats and remembering the one I used to have. I named him Nighttime (because he had really dark fur and I was a really creative kid), and he gave me a weird story like that. He had the particular habit of hunting birds and leaving them on the grill. With my family, we could go to our backyard and find an exhibition of birds on the grill, ready to be cooked. We never understood why he chose that spot, but he seemed to be very advanced for his time. He was such a clever cat. He literally wanted to cook the birds. Imagine having such a great cat that he volunteered every day to handle dinner. How lovely. Don't worry, mom, today the cat grabbed dinner for us. There's no need to go buy groceries. We have it covered. And who's hosting the barbecue this weekend? Oh, my cat, too. He never confirmed his plans. I like the barbecue theory, though.
